Mary Helen Mulford

TEWKSBURY: Mary Helen Mulford died Monday, August 30, at Northwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lowell, after a ten year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 79.

Born in Fort Plain, NY on December 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late L. Albert and Eva Wiles Stockwell.

She was educated in upstate NY and graduated fromWestminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ in 1948.

She married Robert D. Mulford on September 11, 1948 and settled in East Hampton, NY. While in East Hampton, she was a music teacher and organist/choir director at the Amagansett Presbyterian Church.

After retiring from her church position, she continued to sing in the choir and was a member of the Hampton Choral Society.

In July 2001, Mary Helen and her husband, Bob moved to Tewksbury to be closer to their daughter and her family.

Mary Helen is survived by her husband; Bob; her daughter and son-in-law; Carolyn and Bob Loucraft and her granddaughter; Jennifer Sharon; her sister; Dorothy Marinoff of Lake Worth, FL; 2 cousins; Robert and Fred Stockwell both of Fort Plain, NY.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 19th at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., Rte. 133, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the First Baptist of Tewksbury, 1500 Andover St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 are suggested.
