Irene D. Thibault, 82, of Manchester died August 24, 2013 at the Maple Leaf Nursing home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Bedford on January 21, 1931, the daughter of Ovila and Eve (Vallee) Bourbeau. She attended Peter Woodbury School in Bedford and graduated from Manchester West High School.
Prior to retirement, she had been a factory worker for Velcro Industries for many years.
Irene loved to walk and hike and was active in many local bowling leagues. She also enjoyed gardening and canning in her spare time.
Until her illness, she was an active parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Church and was a vocalist for many Sunday Masses.
Her husband George P. Thibault died in 2001.
Family members include three brothers, Edward and Arthur Bourbeau, both of Manchester, and Ovila Bourbeau of Merrimack; one sister, Lillian Provencher of Bedford; many nephews and nieces.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford.
