Augusta, GA – Mr. Donald “Donnie” Harrell, 76, beloved husband of 57 years of Martha Elestine Harrell, entered into rest on Friday, August 23, 2013 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Bible Deliverance Temple with Dr. H. Kelly McKnight, Rev. Wallace Banks, and Rev. Eddie Renew officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Donnie retired from the Owens Corning Company after 36 years and began working with Bi-Lo where he worked for 20 years in the produce department until his retirement. Affectionately known as “The Mayor of Wrights Avenue”, Donnie loved the Lord, his family, and his church family at Bible Deliverance Temple.
In addition to his wife, Donnie is survived by his son, Donnie Wade Harrell; his daughters, Serecea Pace (Larry), Beverly Hilliard (Ric), and Donnis Hilliard (Bryan); his twin brother, Ronnie Harrell (Mary); his 11 grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. John Wesley Harrell and Maude Faulkner Harrell, and also by several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, August 26, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
