Mary E. (Plummer) Trela age 89 of Salem, NH, died Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
She was born in Lawrence, MA, grew up and was educated in No. Andover, MA, and graduated from North Andover High School. She was a resident of Salem for 50 years.
Mary was a file clerk for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, MA. She was a US Navy veteran, serving during World War II. She enjoyed crafting, bingo, music, and her grandkids, and loved her cat “Buffy”.
She was predeceased by her husband John S. Trela, her daughter Sharon Ashford, her brother William Smith, and her sister Mary Elizabeth Lord.
She is survived by her Son: Stanley and his wife Crystal Trela of Salem

Calling hours will be held Monday, Aug. 26, from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 27th at 11 AM at the funeral home Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, No. Andover, MA.
