Obituary

Myles Leo Flynn, 82, of Fairhope, Alabama, formerly of Dedham, Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday August 11, 2013 at his home. Born in Boston, Massachusetts to Myles and Sarah Flynn, he lived most of his life in Massachusetts before retiring to the Mississippi/Alabama area.

Before finishing high school, Myles served in the US Navy on submarines. After his service, he completed his high school education, attended Northeastern University and worked most of his life as a Bank Examiner for the FDIC. Myles was committed to preserving the environment and spent many years as a member of the Conservation Commission in Dedham, Massachusetts. He was an avid reader, enjoyed a spirited debate and loved spending time with family and friends.

Myles was a very proud father to his three children, Judy of Dedham, Massachusetts, Brigette Boyle and her husband Rich of Duxbury, Massachusetts and Marty Flynn and his wife Amy Vogelaar of Dubai, UAE. He was a kind and loving grandfather to Kathryn, Amani and Zaina. Myles was the beloved older brother to eight brothers and sisters: his late brother Jimmy of Avon Massachusetts, Lenny (Mary Dee) of Mansfield, Massachusetts, Mary Hardiman of Brockton, Massachusetts, Marty of Norton, Massachusetts, Sally Madigan (Joe) of Falmouth, Massachusetts, Johnny (Mary) of Arnold, Maryland, Arthur (Rita) of Celebration, Florida and Bobby of South Weymouth, Massachusetts. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service in the George F. Doherty and Sons Wilson Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St, DEDHAM, Sat. July 26, 2014 at 11a.m. All who wish to celebrate his life are welcome to attend.
