Geneva “Eva” Taft, age 81, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at South Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Taft was born on June 29, 1932, in Millwood, GA to the late Dave Reliford and Cora Morgan Reliford.
Survivors include: her five daughters, Helen Moore of Nicholls, GA, Patsy (Richard) Herndon of Telmore, GA, Sarah (Bill) Herndon of Telmore, GA, Janice (Mike) Haley of Dixie Union, GA, and Kathleen Gibson of Douglas, GA, one son, Morris (Donna) Taft of Blackshear, GA, seventeen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Taft, and two sons, Harvey Taft and Lester Taft.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Jowers Chapel with Rev. H.P. Murray, Rev. Howard Holt, Rev. Edgar Musgrove, and Ralph Tanner officiating. Interment will follow at Tanner Church Cemetery.
