Jeanne L. (Fontaine) Ahern, age 65, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013. She was born on Jan. 26, 1948 in Springfield, MA. She was a daughter of the late Romeo and Bertha (Blanchette) Fontaine. Jeanne worked as a billing specialist at Mass Mutual for many years. She leaves her daughter Sheri Hayes and her husband Gene along with their children Matthew and Ryan of Hopedale, MA; her son Marc Ahern and his wife Myra of West Springfield, MA; her sister Anita Benton and her husband Jim of TX. She is predeceased by her brother Raymond Fontaine. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Elms College followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
