Mark J. Needham, 54, of Franklin died suddenly August 18, at Milford Regional Medical Center, shortly after arrival. He was the husband of Patricia M. (Fizer) Needham.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, March 7, 1959, the son of the late Thomas H. and Ursula (McHale) Needham, Mr. Needham was raised in Cranston, Rhode Island and had lived in Franklin since 1989.
He was a graduate of Cranston East High School and the Devry Technical Institute.
An electronic technician he had worked for the EMC Corporation and previously for the Digital Corporation and Data General.
Mark loved to tend to his vegetable garden, music, especially Bruce Springsteen, and to learn all there was about planes and jets.
He was also a “backyard” birder and was an official weather spotter for NOAA.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters, Claire Tuohy of Wrentham and Jane Myers of Attleboro.
He was the brother of the late Thomas Needham.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, August 23 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street in Franklin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
