GLOUCESTER: Susan M. (Broderick) Haley, 61, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Addison Gilbert Hospital.
Born in Milton on July 25, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Doyle) Broderick. She grew up in Braintree and has been a resident of Gloucester for over twenty years.
Sue had been employed as a home health aid and done social work for many years. It was her nature to never be judgmental and always help anyone in need. Her fun loving ways and outgoing personality will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her children, Kristina (Scott) Ort and her husband, Joseph; son, Brandon Ward and his wife, Jennifer; and daughter, Lilly Haley; a grandson, Parker J. Ort; siblings, Edward Broderick and his wife, Terrie, Robert Broderick and his wife, Beverly, Mary Ellen Choate and her husband, Robert, Teresa “Terry” Scott and her husband, Brian, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sister-in-law, Joan Broderick.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Mile Marker 1, 75 Essex Avenue, Gloucester from 2 – 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
