Abel Ledo DeBarros (88) died Aug 16th in the Kindred Hospital, Stoughton. He was the Husband of the late Olivia (Pina).
He was born in Patin, Fogo, Cape Verde Son of the late Silvina Ledo. He resided in Brockton the past 23 years coming from Portugal and Cape Verde where he was a farmer. Abel loved to play cards, listen and dance to Cape Verdean music. He was known throughout his family as quite a story teller.
Survivors include 2 Sons Jose DeBarros of Cape Verde, Augusto DeBarros of Brockton, 4 Daughters Idalina Pereira of Brockton with whom he resided, Luisa Ramos, Silvina DaLuz, and Aline DeBarros all of Portugal, 18 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, 1 Brother Manuel DeBarros of Angola, 1 Sister Maria DeBarros of Cape Verde.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel Thursday Aug. 22nd at 9 am followed by a Cape Verdean Mass in St Edith Stein Church at 10 am. Burial will follow in the family lot in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Wed. Aug. 21st from 5-9 pm.
