BEVERLY ANNE (RICE) DEEMS, a lifelong Hingham resident, passed away on Aug. 14th, 2013 at the age of 75. She was a secretary for Pumping Systems, Inc. for 20 years, retiring in 2000. Mrs. Deems enjoyed her children, grandchildren, knitting and traveling. She was a very creative person and made specially decorated birthday cakes for her grandchildren. She also was active in the Linden Ponds Community in Hingham.
She was the wife of the late Alan Hugh Deems and mother of, Sheri A. Hasse and her husband Jeff of Colorado, Lori J. McGinley and her husband Mac of Scituate and Donald A. Deems and his wife Julie of Braintree. Sister of Walter G. Rice of Quincy and Clayton L. Rice of Avon. Also survived by her 7 grandchildren; Melissa, Mathew, Josh, Tori, Kayla, Brett and Chad.
Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Monday, Aug. 19th from 4-7 PM. The funeral service and interment are to be private.
