Nathaniel E. Gunter, 77, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, August 15, 2013, at his residence in Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Ricky Kellum officiating.
Mr. Gunter was born October 18, 1935 to the late Sewell Edward and Ruby Geneva Swann Gunter. He was raised in Fitzgerald. He was a former security guard in Atlanta, a former truck driver and former owner and operator of The Shipping Connection in Fitzgerald. He was a member of Abundant Life Worship Center in Fitzgerald.
He is survived by a daughter: Athena Gunter of Warner Robins; stepdaughter: Trina Aycock of Fitzgerald and his caregiver: Brenda Cromartie of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Betty L. Herring Gunter.
