WORCESTER-Margaret A. (Coomey) Powers, 83, of 78 Briarwood Circle, formerly of 485 Grove Street passed away Saturday, September 4th in Knollwood Nursing Home. Her husband, William J. Powers, Jr., passed away in 1986. She leaves two sons, William J. Powers, III of Worcester and his wife, Mary and James F. and his wife, Beth Powers of Shrewsbury, four daughters, Donna M. wife of Bill Tyndall and Judith M. wife of George McMillen both of Worcester, Paula M. wife of Paul LaRochelle of Auburn and Margaret A. Powers of Westboro, one sister, Mary C. McGreevy of Shrewsbury, 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, many nephews and nieces. Three brothers predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of James F. and Anna M. (McNamara) Coomey. Mrs. Powers dedicated her life to her family.
The funeral is Wednesday, September 8th at 1:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial is in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from noon until 1:00 PM the day of the funeral.
