Ethel Barrie Lathrop passed away peacefully at Avalon Health Center surrounded by her loving family.
“Chibbie” was born on Sept 27th, 1925, daughter of Frances and Eleanor Barrie of Norwich.

She was united in marriage in 1951 to Richard Lathrop of Stone Ridge in Mystic, who survives her.

She was predeceased by her brother Francis of Norwich.

Chibbie spent most of her working career in the medical field working many years at Backus Hospital in Norwich, but her real passion was in the arts world. The family wants to give a very special thanks to all those at Avalon Healthcare Center of Mystic and the women of Beacon Hospice of Southeast Connecticut whose care and compassion was outstanding.
