Helen Margaret (Angus) Roberge, age 76, of Brockton, died August 13, 2013 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater following a period of failing health. She was the loving wife of Robert A. Roberge (ret.BFD) for 57 years. Helen was born and raised in Stoughton a daughter of the late William and Effie (Zumas) Angus and had been a resident of Brockton for over 60 years.
A graduate of Brockton High School, Helen was also a graduate to the nursing program at South Easton Regional Vocational School. She retired from Blue Hill Convalescent Home in Stoughton and had also worked at Kings Department Store in Brockton.
Helen had been very involved with her children’s activities and had been a den mother and member of the Keith and Hancock School PTAs. She enjoyed playing the piano and sang in the Our Lady of Lourdes Church choir. She looked forward to Christmas, loved shopping and eating out. Helen will be remembered as a caring, loving, selfless and generous lady who put everyone else first. Her true joy in life was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Helen was the devoted mother of William Roberge of Brockton and his wife Patricia of Onset, Kathleen Chiappini of Bridgewater, Donna Chamberlain of Plymouth, and Michael Roberge of Brockton; sister of Patricia Valatkevicz of Bridgewater; grandmother of thirteen; and great grandmother of one.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 5-8 pm. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10 am.
