Of North Dighton, August 11, 2013 George L. Gray Sr. husband of the late Rose (Pawloski) Gray died with his family by his side at Life Care Center of Raynham at the age of 93. Born in Taunton, George was the son of the late Andrew and Clara (Cayton) Gray. He was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1938 and attended college in Virginia. George enlisted in the US Navy after college serving during WWII. He was a resident of North Dighton for over 60 years. George owned and operated Gray’s Construction in North Dighton and he also taught mechanical drawing and industrial arts at Barnstable High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Silver City Twirlers he also enjoyed square dancing, boating and was an active member at St Nichols of Myra Church in North Dighton. George was the father of Lou Gray of Pawtucket, RI, and Susan Gray Pritchard of Rehoboth. Grandfather of Ananda Gray of Florida, Kate Pritchard Pereira of Rehoboth and Gabriel Gray of Taunton. Brother of Albert Gray of Taunton and the late Alice Silva and Louise Brown. Dear friend of Pauline Pimental of Taunton. Uncle of several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Nicholas of Myra Church in North Dighton on Friday August 16th at 11 AM. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
