TARTER, Rosaleen “Rosie” (Basham), 76, formerly of Big Springs, KY, passed away on August 12, 2013. Those who knew her, knew true friendship; those who loved her, knew true love.
Rosie is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Walter “Bud” Tarter; daughters, Deb Shipman (Oscar), Jeanene Whitaker (Tom); son, Scott Tarter; granddaughters, Amy Minton (Jason), Mary Beth Bramer and Leah Tarter; and great grandchildren Jocelyn and Mason Minton. Also left to cherish her memory are numerous nieces and nephews, including Patricia Belcher (Ricky) and Sarah Stallings (Anthony).
Visitation noon to 8pm Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 1pm at the funeral home with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
