John Glenn Anderson, III, 48, of Anderson died at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born November 25, 1964 in Anderson; graduating from Anderson University.
He worked production at Inland Fisher Guide division of General Motors 10 years.
He attended Madison Park Church of God.
He was a member of A.B.A.T.E.; H.O.G; UAW Local 663 and Save the Athletic Pool Foundation.
Survivors include his mother JoAnn (Sparks) Gates; three children, Ashton Anderson; John Anderson IV and Shelbi Anderson all of Anderson, their mother Laura Anderson; brother Ronald Anderson of Anderson; three grandchildren, Riley Anderson, Delilah and Jasper Young; niece, Casandra Anderson, and nephews Daylen and Peyton Anderson; special friends, Kim Bova, Greg Thompson and Melissa Bowen and nurse Shelly.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Anderson, Jr.; paternal grandparents, John (Martha) Anderson; maternal grandparents Earl (Ruth) Sparks and a cousin, Dale Sparks, Jr.
Service will be at noon on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Samuel Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig's Disease Foundation).
