Lucille E. (Demers) Turcotte, 96, formerly of Manchester, died August 7, 2013 at Oceanside Nursing Home, Hampton, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manchester on June 11, 1917, the daughter of Joseph M. and Dina Demers. She was a graduate of Manchester High School West.
Prior to retirement, she had worked as a clerk and typist for the VA Medical Center for many years.
She was a member of the Post 79 American Legion Auxiliary and loved to knit. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and above all else, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished time with family.
Family members include her daughter Patricia A. Overy of Hampton; her grandchildren, Kimberly Czarnecki and husband Kevin of Marlborough, CT, Michael Overy and wife Stacey of Derry and Rachel Spence and husband Ed of Richmond, MA; great-grandchildren Madison, Morgan, and Maxwell Czarnecki, Ryan, Andrew, and Emma Overy, Dannika Spence; one brother Robert Demers of Manchester; one sister, Rita G. Burns of Concord, NH; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Roland G. Turcotte; her son Richard G. Turcotte in 2000; and eight brothers, Maurice, Edouard, Louis Phillippe, Adrien, Raymond, Roger, Gerard and Norman.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at St. Catherine Church. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road.
