Obituary

Ida Marie (Siemers) Hardacre, 97, of Anderson passed away on August 10, 2013 at Rawlins House in Pendleton.
She was born on June 4, 1916 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to George and Bessie Siemers. She was a 1934 graduate of Anderson High School, charter member of the Meg March Club, and a longtime member of Park Place Church of God.

She is survived by her two sons, Paul "Butch" Hardacre (Marilyn) of Kokomo, and Steve Hardacre (Vivian) of Anderson; 5 grandchildren, Michael Hardacre of Reno, Nevada, Nikki Kincade of Decatur, Alabama, Clayton, Cole, and Curt Hardacre all of Anderson; 3 Step-grandchildren, Brad Myers of Fishers, Missy Estabrook of Carmel, and Kimberly Buck of Franklin, Tennessee; a foster grandson, Brian Kasper of Fayetteville, NC; 11 great-grandchildren, and special friends, Ava Ahrendt of Anderson and Philip and Janet Grossenbacher of Holton, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Paul "Bud" Hardacre in 1976 and her second husband, Richard "Dick" Long in 2006.

Her family wishes to recognize the caregivers of Crown Pointe Assisted Living Center, who showed much kindness over the past 3 years. Also, thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Rawlins House, who showed great compassion and competence during the past month. Finally, the family wishes to extend special thanks to Mary Ingram for her devotion and service to Ida Marie over the past three years, which was a blessing to everyone.

As a devoted spouse, loving mother and grandmother, her top priority was her family. In her spare time she enjoyed working with crafts, entertaining her friends and traveling with her family. Ida Marie rarely spoke of her faith, she simply exemplified it in her daily activities. She always saw the best in everyone and made all who came in contact with her feel fortunate to have met her. Her grace and her influence will live on in her family and friends. She was an extraordinary person who touched many people.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, August 14th at 10:00am at Park Place Church of God with Rev. Don Collins officiating. The burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

The visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 13, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christian Center, Park Place Church of God, or the Anderson University (Hardacre/Best Ever Dairy Endowment Fund).
