Thomas Melvin Vickers, Age 89, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Vickers was born March 14, 1924 in Ambrose, GA to the late Thomas Vickers and Louise Carter Vickers.
Survivors include his wife: Rita Thurman Vickers, Ambrose, GA; three sons: Wayne (Cathy) Vickers, Ambrose, GA; Van (Jacqueline) Vickers, Douglas GA; and Craig (Janet) Vickers, Ambrose, GA; Five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and one sister Tommie Harper, Holt, Ga.
In lieu of Flowers, donations or memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Pridgen Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 6 to 9 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Carroll Carver officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery
