Georgia Jeanette O'Quinn Edenfield of Gastonia, North Carolina died Saturday, August 10, 2013, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Salone Green will officiate with burial to follow. Ricky Hart, Mike Roberts, Trent Pope, Darrell Edenfield, Ricky Dorden and David O’Quinn will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Rowe and David Rowe. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Edenfield was born on March 22, 1936 in Tift County and was the daughter of Russell O’Quinn and Willie Creasman O’Quinn, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Paul Edenfield Sr.; and one son, Steve Edenfield. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Edenfield is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, James Paul Jr. and Joy Edenfield of Gastonia, North Carolina, Gary W. and Jacqueline Edenfield of Tifton, Jackie D. and Diane Edenfield of Tifton and Michael Edenfield of Tifton; three brothers, Tom O’Quinn of Phenix City, Alabama, Travis O’Quinn of Las Vegas, Nevada and Johnny O’Quinn of Tifton; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren, including Hailey, who was a special great-granddaughter that helped care for her.
