New Bedford – Franklin T. Dean, Jr., 58, of New Bedford passed away at home after a brief illness on August 9, 2013.
Mr. Dean was born in New Bedford, son of the late Franklin T., Sr. and Mildred E. (Lemos) Dean, and resided in the greater New Bedford area all of his life. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven. Aerovox, Inc employed him in quality control. He worked as a volunteer for many organizations.
Survivors include his sister: Gail A. Dean of Acushnet; 4 brothers: Kenneth A. Dean of S. Dartmouth, James L. Dean of New Bedford, Robert R. Dean of New Bedford and Kevin P. Dean of New Bedford; and several nieces & nephews.

Visiting hours Monday, August 12, 2013, 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford.
Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven at 9:00 A.M.
Interment in Acushnet Cemetery, Acushnet.
