John Edward Schuller, 91, of Duluth, died August 7, 2013. He was born in St. Paul, on October 6, 1921 to the late Anna and Roy Schuller. John, a life long resident of North Saint Paul, was married to Katherine Spangenberg of North Saint Paul on January 16,1946. A Marine in WWII, John proudly served in the Marine Corp Reserves for 20 years, while he worked at Northwest Airlines. An avid hunter and fisherman, John was a member of the VFW and a respected friend of many. He is survived by his wife Katherine; three sons John (Kay), James (Anne) and Jeffrey Schuller; six grandchildren Jacob Schuller (Laura), Joseph Schuller (Jennifer), Jarad Schuller (Laura), Stephanie Wojdyla (Steven), Sara Marrello (Jimmy), Sydney Jones (Tim), and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, on Sunday August 11, 2013 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church, 2499 N. Helen St. (Door 7W), North St. Paul, at 11:00 am on Monday, August 12, 2013. There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery will be private.
