Edmund Quintero, Jr., 69, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Phoebe Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Quintero was born July 5, 1944 in Ballymena, Ireland to the late Edmund Quintero, Sr. and the late Ellen McFall Quintero. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He was retired manager of Robbins Lumber Yard in Ft. Myers, Florida and had lived in Irwin County since 2003. Mr. Quintero attended the Fitzgerald Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife: Deborah Quintero of Irwin County; two sons: Edmund Quintero, III of Charlotte, N.C. and Andrew Quintero of Hamlet, N.C.; one daughter: Rebecca Quintero of Hamlet, N.C.; two step-daughters: Tracey Lynn & Joey D. Peterson and Kimberly Ann & Curtis Coggins, all of Irwin County; several grandchildren including: Caleb, Bryson, and Preston Coggins and Brantley Peterson; one brother: Daniel McFall of San Antonio, Texas; one sister: Michaelene McInturff of San Antonio, Texas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son: David Lee Kennedy and one brother: Brendon Quintero.
