Gene Norman Register, 76, of Lenox died Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2013, in Staunton Cemetery in Lenox. Rev. Jimmie Hinson will officiate with burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Register was born on July 22, 1937 in Cook County and was the son of Frank Pickett and Evelyn Hart Register, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Register. He was retired from Fulwood Garden Center, where he was the caretaker. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Register is survived by one aunt, Mary Jo Hawkins; and several cousins.
