Gerard R. “Gerry” Andrewzusky, 62, of Franklin, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Murray) Andrewzusky for 30 years.
Born in Boston on June 16, 1951, he was the son of the late Gerard and Margaret “Flonny” (Rodd) Andrewzusky.
Gerry was a resident of Franklin for the past 25 years and formerly resided in Boston. He worked as a transmission rebuilder for over 40 years and owned Franklin Automatic Transmission.
Gerry loved fishing and was an avid New England sports fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, William “Billy” Andrewzusky and twin daughters, Julie and Jennifer Andrewzusky, all of Franklin and a granddaughter Jordyn Daggett.
He is also survived by three sisters, Margaret “Midgie” Pepin of Franklin, Mary Brodeur of Milford and Helen Andrewzusky of Weymouth and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Albert “Albie” Andrewzusky.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Tuesday, August 13 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Norfolk Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m.
