ON AUGUST 7, 2013 Erna Pauline “Nanny” Italiano, 87, went to eternal peace at Stella Maris Hospice. She was born in Allentown, Pa to the late Emmerich & Stefania Hodl and also lived extensively in City Island, NY. She was married to the late Matthew P. Italiano and she raised four wonderful children. The family moved to Towson in the early 1960’s and settled in the Bainesville area. Erna loved to play cards, scrabble and square dance. She will be missed at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sodality and by her many friends, some of which were lifelong. Erna was preceded in death not only by her husband Matthew, her daughter Christine V. Italiano and son Charles W. Italiano. She is survived by her son’s Matthew C. Italiano of Oak Island, NC and John Italiano of Parkville, her grandchildren, Susan Mueller, Anne , Stephen, Nicole, David and Chris Italiano . Also great grandchildren Mary and Claire Mueller.

All are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 13, in The Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at 9 A.M. Interment in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
