Obituary

Born the seventh child of the late James Cleveland and Carrie Monday Williams in Tunica County Mississippi. At an early age he confessed Christ and was baptized at Holly Grove Baptist Church.

Wendell graduated high school in 1962 and enlisted in the United States Army where he served in the Dominic Republic. After his discharge he attended Emerson College in Boston where he was a member of the Actors Guild and later graduating with a degree in Media Communications.
Wendell owned a number of businesses and later received his license and became a long distance truck driver.

He leaves to cherish fond memories siblings: Dorothy Pearson, Wadean Reed and Eloweve McDaniels of Memphis, Tennessee, Barbara Pilgrim, Shirley Wiggins, Jimmy Tate, and Money Williams of Massachusetts, Rosemary House of Chicago, Illinois, and Christeen Hopkins (John) of Fontana, California in addition to numerous other family and friends. Sisters Corine Byrd and Helen Walker and brother’s Lonnie Scott, James Williams and James Bradley preceded him to heaven.

Family will gather at 75 Humboldt Avenue, Roxbury, Massachusetts, Apt. 6 at 5:00 p.m.
