John K. Forrester, age 80, passed away on July 31, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on March 30, 1933 in Lenior, NC. He was a son of the late Leonard and Bessie (Caudle) Forrester. John was a Master Sergeant in the US Air Force. He had also worked for the US Postal Service for many years before he retired. He leaves his loving wife Helga (Reisdorf) Forrester of Springfield; 4 sons, Frank Forrester, Ralph Lamy, Timothy Forrester and Tony Forrester; 3 sisters, Betty Thomas, Diane “Bunny” Eastridge and Bonnie Hawking and also his beloved grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Terry Forrester. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
