Martha Rudell Huffstatler Wilder, age 85, passed peacefully from this life on August 5, 2013. She was born November 5, 1927 in Union County, MS to the late James Arthur and Thella Rakestraw Huffstatler. Martha was a seamstress for Big Yank in Water Valley, MS before working at Holly Automotive where she retired in 1991. She was a member of Camp Ground Baptist Church and she loved sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Joe Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Water Valley with Rylee Sisk, Zack Sisk, Larry Wilder, Jr., Austin Robbins, Colton Robbins and Kyle Robbins serving as pallbearers. Jamie McCammon, Dickey Green, Anderson Wilder and James Wilder will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Wanda Kerr of Tillatoba, MS, Mary Ann Liles of Bruce, MS, and Donna Sisk of Dahlonega, GA; her sons, Larry Wilder and Rocky Wilder both of Water Valley, MS; two brothers, Homer Huffstatler and Sonny Huffstatler both of Southaven, MS; three sisters, Lavern Evans and Juanita Clayton both of Southaven, MS and Betty Joe Cobb of New Albany, MS; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Willie Holland Wilder; two sons, Tim “Bodie” Wilder and Mike Wilder; a brother, Billy Huffstatler; two sisters, Syble Caldwell and Frances Berryhill; and four grandchildren.
