Obituary



Laurence E. “Larry” Fox, 71 years of Brockton died Monday August 5, 2013 at Tufts Medical Center after a period of failing health. He was the loving and devoted husband of Sheila F. (Raynard) Fox for 43 years. Larry was born and raised in Boston, a son of the late Myer and Ann (Maple) Fox. For the past 43 years he had been a resident of Brockton. He attended Boston College and had worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for 26 years and retired in 1991.
Larry had been a member of the NRA and Holbrook Sportsman Club. He was an avid marksman who loved to compete. He also enjoyed reading, history, running, dogs and music. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who was quiet, reserved and giving. He was most proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his three loving daughters Melissa Torrey and her husband Owen of Levittown, PA., Jennifer Emmett and her husband Joseph of Kettering, OH and Rachel DeGrace and her husband Tony of Brockton, MA; seven cherished grandchildren Blake Fletcher, Jeremy Torrey, Kayla Torrey, Richard Torrey, Dominic Emmett, Noah Emmett and Gianna DeGrace and a sister Rhonda Fox-Stacey of FL.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home on Thursday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30am followed by a funeral service in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
