Gainey, Florence M. (Gillis) of Hanson, formerly of Marshfield and Holbrook, passed away on August 5, 2013 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Jeremiah B. Gainey. Loving mother of Jeremiah W. Gainey and his wife Julie of Hanson, Patricia Gainey of Marshfield, Thomas Gainey and his wife Joan of Holbrook, Jean Ecord and her husband Benjamin of Holbrook, Kathleen Donoghue and her husband Timothy of Marshfield, Michael Gainey of East Bridgewater and the late Joseph Gainey. Loving grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 1 with 3 on the way. Daughter of the late Michael and Marie Gillis. Dear sister of Therese Gregory, Evelyn Signorello, Arthur Gillis and the late Mary Burton, Alexander Gillis, Wilfred Gillis, Lawrence Gillis and Joseph Gillis.
Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, August 9 at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Christine’s Church, 1295 Main St. at 9:00 a.m.
Interment in Couch Cemetery.
