Geneva Gentry, age 90, of Bradenton, Fla. passed away on Wed. July 31, at Tidewell House in Bradenton, Fla.
She was born in Monterey, Tenn., to Bennie and Martha (Copeland) Wilson.
She resided in Anderson, Ind. most of her life. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1942.
She was a lifetime member of the Sigma Beta Sorority in Anderson and she was an avid gardener and health food enthusiast.
She worked in the office of Ward Stilson for 8 years until it closed. She then worked for Dr. Carey for thirty years.
After retirement, she made her home in Bradenton, Fla.
Geneva is survived by her sisters, Anna Looper and Maxine (Wayne) James; her caretaker and niece Sandy (Roger) Kipp; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie & Martha Wilson; husband Boyd Gentry; brothers Denny and Dallas Wilson; sisters, Leva Taylor, Tillie Dobbins and Elsie Carmack.
Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, August 8, at Rozelle- Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road with Rev. Joe Roysden officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:30 to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
