Obituary





Methuen, MA — Marguerite R. Lanctot, 89, of Methuen passed away on Saturday, August 3, at the Holy Family Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lawrence, and was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Annie (Connelly) Burke. She was raised and educated in Lawrence, and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Marguerite worked at Lucent Technologies in North Andover for 10 years, prior to retirement. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Monica’s Church and a member of St. Monica’s Sodality. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marguerite was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Lanctot, and is survived by her children, Nancy E. Trainor and her husband, Frank, of Atkinson, N.H., Joseph F. Lanctot and his wife, Shelley, of Goffstown, N.H.; a sister, Bernadette Shea of Methuen; grandchildren, Robert C. Courtemanche, Diane M. Herdegen, Colleen M. Lanctot, Paul J. Courtemanche, Christopher T. Lanctot, and Kyle J. Lanctot; great-grandchildren, Ellen, Lauren, Joseph, Shannon, and Erin; several nieces and nephews; and close friends. She is also predeceased by a sister, Ann Burke.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, August 7, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 8, at St. Monica’s Church, with burial to follow at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marguerite’s honor may be made to St. Monica’s School Fund, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA 01844. Condolences may be made at www.pollardfuneralhome.com.
