Lucille M. (Demeule) Aubert, 91 of Salem, passed away Sunday evening, August 4, 2013 at the Aviv Center for Living in Peabody with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Leo E. Aubert.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred E. and Lauria M.
(Dion) Demeule. Prior to her marriage, she worked for Sylvania in Salem. She and Leo married in 1945 and for a brief period of time lived in New London, CT where he was stationed with the Navy. Lou was a gentle, easy going woman who loved her family and her very large extended family. While raising her family she found time to work part time at Dube’s Restaurant for 45 years. Lou enjoyed traveling, music, dancing and entertaining. She was always gracious and generous with her time with her family and her many friends. Lou possessed the gift making anyone she touched feel very special.
Her family would like to thank the entire staff of the Aviv Center for Living for their extraordinary kindness, care and compassion in caring for Lou during her declining years.
She is survived by three daughters, Andrea B. Sellers of Swampscott, Marlene M. Sewall and her husband Gary of Salem, Cheryl A. Guy and her husband Steven of Salem, a sister, Blanche Jodoin of Palm Coast, FL, seven grandchildren, Dawn Sellers, Bill Sellers and his wife Kellie, Brett Smith and his wife Jaime, Gregg Smith and his wife Stacey, Julie Jodoin, Jennifer Fabiano and her husband Joe and Jessica Guy. She also leaves five great-grandchildren, Alex Smith, Zachery Jodoin, Maxwell Sellers, Jack & Jett Fabiano. She was predeceased by her brother, Daniel M. Demeule.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 115 / 1-A] Salem on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 8:45 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
