On Sunday August 4, 2013 our beloved "Mother" and "Nana", Betty Ferraro, was peacefully called home to heaven. Betty Ferraro was the matriarch of her family and Ferraro's Italian Restaurant.
Betty and her husband Sam opened Ferraro's in 1970. Side by side and hand in hand, they created the legacy of Ferraro's Since, 1999 after the passing of Sam Ferraro, Betty and her daughter Sarah have been working together to carry on the legacy. Betty was Ferraro's and Ferraro's was Betty. To many employees, she was fondly known as "Miss Betty". The restaurant was her favorite place to be and she truly loved all of her regular customers; many have become more like family over the years. SHe was always there to greet everyone with a smile and her great sense of humor. Many wonderful memories were made throughout her years at Ferraro's which many will hold close to their hearts forever.
Not only was she a successful business woman, she was a pillar of love and stability for her family, Betty was preceded in death and is now happily reunited in heaven with her true love and husband of 42 years, Samuel Ferraro. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Triana, husband Sam Triana, son Ross Ferraro; Grandchildren, Jason Triana and wife Sarah Triana, Sheana Triana, Samantha Perry and husband Tab Perry, and Jaecob Triana. Great-grandchildren, Jayden Triana, Kaylen Triana, Triana Perry, Isley Perry and Serenity Perry. Her grandchildren were not the only people who called her "Nana". Many others were blessed to call her "Nana" as well; whether her own or not, she loved all the kids like a "Nana" would.
She has touched our lives and so many others in such an amazing way. We are so blessed to have been able to call her "Mom", "Nana" and "Friend". For 81 years, the world was a better place because she was in it. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 5 to 6 p.m. in The River Community Church, Ventura with a service beginning at 6 p.m. Funeral Services Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11AM in The River Community Church 889 E. Santa Clara Street Ventura. A graveside service will follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park. A celebration of life will be held following the graveside service at Ferraro's Italian Restaurant.
