Obituary

Jean Guy Fontaine, 73, of Goffstown, died August 3, 2013 at Catholic Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born in Thetford Mines, Quebec, Canada on July 25, 1940 to Omer and Alice (Vallee) Fontaine. He grew up in Canada then lived in Manchester for many years before moving to Goffstown six years ago.
Mr. Fontaine worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years. He was very active in his life and enjoyed woodworking and snowmobiling.
The family includes his wife of 47 years, Carmen (Gosselin) Fontaine of Goffstown; three children, Sonia Holmes of Manchester, Dany Fontaine and his wife, Erin, of Goffstown and Jenny Roukey and her husband, Kevin, of Manchester; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon, Shayla, Brianna and Tanner; two sisters, Denise Vallee and her husband, Victorin, and Pierrette Beaudoin and her husband, Alain, all of Canada; four brothers, Raoul Fontaine and his wife, Aline, and Real Fontaine and his wife, Micheline, all of Canada, Norman Fontaine and his wife, Rolande, of Hooksett and Michel Fontaine and his wife, Micheline, of Canada; a sister in law, Gisele Fontaine of Canada; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Gisele Fontaine and a brother, Marcel Fontaine.
A funeral ceremony was held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. The burial is private and at the convenience of the family at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.
