John A. “Uncle John” Roberson, 60 of Methuen, MA passed away after a short illness on Thursday August 1, 2013 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA, with his family by his side.
Born in Boston, MA and educated in Lynn, MA he was the son of the late John W. Roberson and Anne L. (Bonnaccorso) Roberson of Peabody, MA. He attended St. Pious Grammar School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, MA. John received his bachelors degree from Salem State College and his masters degree from Suffolk University. John was a product manager with Unicom Engineering in Canton, MA.
He was an active member of the Minuteman Model A Club and also the Southern New Hampshire Snow Slickers. John was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed camping, hiking and spending time with his family especially at his camp in Sebago Lake in Maine.
Besides his mother, John is survived by his wife of 21 years, Patricia A. (Kelley) Roberson of Methuen, MA.
Three sisters, Robin Lally and her husband Paul of Connecticut, Nancy Alfonso and her husband Frank of Medford, MA. and Johanna Carregal and her husband Joseph of North Reading, MA.
One brother, Bill Roberson and his wife Sherry of Lynn, MA.
John also leaves his mother-in-law Lillian Kelley of Methuen, MA
Many loved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the MSPCA 400 Broadway Methuen, MA 01844. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00a.m. at St. Lucy’s Church also in Methuen, MA.
