Rita A. Gross, age 97, of Norton , passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Marion Manor Nursing Home in Taunton.
Born in Attleboro, MA on May 25, 1915, she was a loving daughter of the late Arthur and Lottie (Daigneau) Gross.
Rita grew up in the Attleboro area. Prior to retiring she had worked as a waitress at various Boston restaurants and had also been employed when younger as a housekeeper.
In addition to living in Norton for many years, she had also made her home in Beebe River, New Hampshire.
Rita was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton and was quite active at Woodland Meadows in Norton. She also enjoyed playing cribbage and bingo at the Norton Senior Center.
She was the dear sister of the late Earl Gross, Clifford Gross, Cora Koski and Clair Marshall. She is survived by her many devoted nieces and nephews.
Her funeral mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday, August 8th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street St., Norton. Burial will be held privately in the Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth , New Hampshire.
