Obituary

Harry F. Noyes, Sr., 85, passed away on July 31, 2013 in Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Joan M. (Dunn) Noyes.
Born in Haverhill on September 12, 1927, he was the son of the late Clifford and Helen (MacDonald) Noyes. Harry was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Holten High School in 1946. He served our country during WWII with the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. Harry was police officer for the Town of Danvers for over 30 years before retiring in 1984.
Harry was an exceptional athlete; playing baseball with the Danvers Twi-Light Baseball League well into his forties. He loved to golf and bowled in the Danvers Merchants League. Harry was a lifelong Red Sox and Patriots fan watching every game faithfully.
He is survived by six children, Marcia Noyes of Richmond, TX, Peter and Betsy Noyes of Lynn, Diane Noyes of Danvers, Harry and Janna Noyes, Jr. of Danvers, Lisa Noyes and her friend Mickie Sharp of N. Andover, and Michael Noyes and his companion Nurys Melo of Salem, nine grandchildren, Stephen and Jessica Noyes, Jeremy Dominick, Kelly and Sean Noyes, Joshua and Justin DeJoy and Mikela and Alicia Melo, three great grandchildren, Nicholas, Vinncent and Payton; his brother Donald Noyes of Danvers; four sisters, Betty Skoniecki and husband Edward of Beverly, Margie Falkowski and her husband Theodore of Peabody, Carol Walsh of Beverly, Sandra Reilly of Lynn. He was predeceased by four brothers, Clifford, Charles, Robert and Richard Noyes.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated at 9AM on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Wadsworth Cemetery, Summer St., Danvers. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Danvers People to People Food Bank, P.O. Box 2076, Danvers, MA 01923.
