Obituary

Doris C. BROWN, “Dottie” 80, of Central Pike died Monday at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Wayne E. Brown .

Born in Providence a daughter of the late Leo and Jessie (Gaudreau) Dionne. She lived in Foster for the past 52 years.

Doris was a waitress until her retirement and worked at many area restaurants which included the former Highland and Sunset Orchards, the former Judith Helenes, The Homestead and Georges in Harmony. She was a member of the Scituate Sr. Center and belonged to the Bowling League. She was also an avid Red Sox and Patriot fan.

She is survived by her angel and longtime companion, Earl Brightman of Scituate, her children, Susan Coggeshall of Frostproof, FL, Wayne E. Brown, Jr. of South Attleboro, MA, Jayne Black of Vernon, CT and Keith Brown of Glocester; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Vivian Carvalho of Plainfield, MA and Roy Dionne of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Ray, Roland and Norman Dionne and Evelyn King.

Funeral Saturday at 8am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 116A Danielson Pike, Foster. Burial in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-7PM.
