Obituary

Mrs. Frances M. (Sypek) Guillemette, of Taunton, died Monday, July 29 in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Roland L. “Grumpy” Guillemette. She was born 81 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Walter and Agnes (Kasock) Sypek. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a Social Worker for the Mass. Department of Transitional Assistance in Taunton. She was previously employed as a clerk in the Taunton City Clerk’s office. She enjoyed going to the theater, Polish Picnics, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a communicant of the Holy Rosary Church.
She leaves: 1 daughter: Anne M. Rogers and her husband, Glenn D. of Berkley; 2 grandchildren: Selena M. Rogers of Berkley and Glenn D. Rogers, Jr. of Florida; 1 great granddaughter: Aubrey M. Resendes of Berkley, and several nieces and nephews. Frances was also the mother of the late Mary Frances Guillemette of Taunton, and was the sister of the late Catherine Webster.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Saturday, August 3 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
