Obituary

Mrs. Phyllis M. Lloyd-Whynot, a resident of Topsfield and beloved wife of the late Charles R. Whynot, died at her home on Sunday, July 28, 2013. She was 83 years old.
Born in Staten Island, New York on December 30, 1929, she was the beloved daughter of the late Grant L. Lloyd and Iva (Mills) Lloyd-MacDonald. Phyllis worked as a Teacher and Tutorial Supervisor for the Landmark School for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, reading, knitting and playing scrabble. She also loved gardening and enjoyed painting and playing mahjong. She will be deeply missed.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children; Rev. Rufus Grant and his wife Deidre Whynot of Romania, Christopher E. Whynot and his wife Nancy Stone-Hudson of Salem, New Hampshire, Leslie K. Whynot-O'Connor and her husband Raymond O'Connor of Monson and Ann M. Whynot-Papadopulu and her fiance Sofia Zaralidis, both of Haverhill, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Thursday, August 1, 2013, at 1 PM. Interment was private.
