St. Marys, GA - Miriam (Morris) Hickey, 88, of St. Marys GA, formerly of New Bedford, passed away Thursday, July 25,2013 at St. Marys Senior Care Center, with her daughter, Patricia, and her son-in-law, Richard, at her side.
Mrs. Hickey was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Albert E. and Hilda (Simcoe) Morris, and lived most of her life in New Bedford before moving to Georgia two and a half years ago to be with her daughter. She loved reading but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter: Patricia Begnoche and her husband, Richard; 3 grandchildren: Darnel Begnoche, Richard Begnoche, and Andrea Knox; 3 great-grandchildren: Jonathan Knox, Daniel Begnoche and Lexi Knox; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Robert Simcoe, Frederick Morris, Vivian Galipeau, Albert E. Morris, Jr. and Mona Bettencourt.
Funeral services will be private.
