Obituary

Paul D. Gaugel, 94, of Worcester, died Sunday, July 28th in Shrewsbury Nursing Home. He leaves Patricia Motejunas and her husband Gerald of Milton, Kevin E. McKeon of Ft. Myers, FL, Kathryn McKeon, Scott Motejunas, Mark Motejunas and good friends.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Paul A. and Julie (O’Leary) Gaugel, attended Worcester public schools and graduated from Shrewsbury High School. Paul enlisted in the Navy in February of 1942 and served in the Pacific for almost 4 years. With his father he owned and operated Parkway Millinery Shop in Worcester. His job required many purchasing trips to Manhattan which he thoroughly enjoyed. After selling the shop he worked as salesman at Wallach’s in Natick. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and an avid photographer of New England farms, country sides and ocean scenes from Maine to Amish Country.

The funeral will be held on Friday, August 2nd with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is assisting with arrangements.
