William C. “Bill” Heath, Jr., 64, of Berrien County died Friday, July 26, 2013, at Regency Hospital in Macon.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, July 29, 2013, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with the Rev. John Gibbs, Jr. officiating. Gary Gayton will give the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Lax Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Heath was born December 31, 1948, in Madison, Georgia to the late William Clifford and Delda Lee Patterson Heath. He was a 23-year employee of Irwin Manufacturing. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed riding horses, gardening, and growing flowers. He was affiliated with Word of Truth Ministries.
He is survived by his brothers: Johnny W. Heath of Greenville, South Carolina, Hubert “Huddy” Heath of Alapaha, and Wheeler Buffard “Ricky” Heath of Adel; sisters: Helen Brooks of Ocilla, Christine Clark of Fitzgerald, Imojean Rogers of Irwinville, Geraldine Paulk of Irwin County, Virginia Hitt of Alapaha, and Audrey O’Hagan of Nashville; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Jimmy O. Heath and one sister: Kathleen Walker.
