Obituary

Joanne Joycelyn White of Stoughton, formerly of Boston, passed away on Sunday July 21, 2013 at the age of 35 years. She was the beloved daughter of Mrs. Joan T. ( Jones ) White and Mr. Joe White of Stoughton and Jeanill Angol of Dominica, West Indies. She was also the cherished mother of Jahmare White of Stoughton and the loving sister of Garvin White, Philo-Marie White, Malcolm O. White all of Stoughton, Brittany Johnson – White of Boston, Joshua White of Randolph, Deedee White of Florida, Jalen White of New York, Hubert Winston, Wayne Winston, Myrtle Alexander, Kay Alexander and Shana Alexander all of Dominica. Joanne is also survived by her loving companion Jerry Busby of Stoughton. Other survivors include her aunts, Verdun Rabess, Vicky Brown, Julie White, Tina White, Felixia Brown, Eleanor Casimir, June Anselm, Judith George, Julianna Parillon, Christiana Valentine, Anne Moses, Wynant Jones, Edith Bailey Samson, Rosa Jones, Euthalie Jones, Ernie Jones, Noreen Jones, Rosie Jones, her uncles, Roland White, David Etienne, John White, Michael White, Vaughn White, Auldrick Anselm, Antoine Registe, Victor Seleso, Cyril Jones, Joseph Jones, Raymond Jones and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was born on September 21, 1977 in Roseau, Dominica and then moved to Massachusetts. She attended Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of West Roxbury High School. Joanne also attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy,MA and Massasoit Community College in Brockton,MA. She was employed as a Supervisor with the Society Of St. Vincent De Paul in Stoughton for over 8 years. Her hobbies included music, dancing and most of all spending time with her son and family. Joanne ‘s big smile and quick pace would would bring instant comfort to anyone she met. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Joanne served her country proudly for 8 years as a Unit Supply Specialist in the United States Army National Guard. She was honorably discharged with the rank of PV2 and received her Army Service Ribbon.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday July 28, 2013 from 4 – 8 P.M. in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on MONDAY AUGUST 5, 2013 at 12:00 NOON in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, (Rt. 27), Stoughton. NOTE: The funeral procession will be forming at 10:30 A.M. prior to the funeral mass at The Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton.
