MARLBOROUGH: Thomas Joseph Knous, 55, died on Wednesday, July 24, 3024 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born in Waltham on August 26, 1957 the son of Charles F. Knous and Claire A. (Joyal) Knous of Putnam, CT formerly of Wayland.
Besides his parents, Thomas is survived by his siblings Charles M. Knous of Florida, Bonnie J. Harris of Florida, Sharon M. Poitras of Northbridge and Scott F. Knous of Franklin. He was the brother of the late John P. Knous who died in May of 2007 and Donna M. Knous who died in March of 2009. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Thomas spent his formative years in Wayland and graduated from Wayland High School with the Class of 1976. For 30 years, he was an auto body mechanic with his father at Charlie’s Auto Body of Sudbury. In 1997, Thomas took over the family business when his father retired and continued the operation until 2007.
Thomas was an avid Red Sox fan and also enjoyed fishing in the local area lakes and occasionally deep sea fishing with friends. He also enjoyed spending time at the beach as well as many family outings. He touched the lives of many people and he will be fondly missed by his family and friends.
Memorial Visitations will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon followed by his Memorial Service at 12:15 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Interment in the KNOUS family lot in Lakeview Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial gifts in Thomas’ memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, PO BOX 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
