Obituary

Theodore F. “Ted” Arnold, 91, of Franklin, died peacefully Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Grace L. (Curran) Arnold since 1948.

Born in Sherborn on March 25, 1922, he was the son of the late Asa M. and Mary Belle (Matheson) Arnold.

Mr. Arnold was a lifelong resident of Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School in 1941.

Before his retirement in 1983, he worked in the shipping department at Foxboro Company for 23 years. He had previously worked as a poultry farmer at his family’s farm for many years as well as at the Parmenter Farm.

Mr. Arnold was a member of the Franklin Federated Church and was an avid gardener.

Besides his wife, he is survived by; two sons, John Arnold of North Grafton and Stephen Arnold of Franklin and his daughter Sharon Guertin of Attleboro.

He is also survived by three grandchildren; Matthew, Nicholas and Krista Guertin, all of Attleboro and a sister Helen Olsen of Wrentham.

He was the brother of the late Ralph and Waldo Arnold.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Monday, July 29 at 1 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin; 131 Main Street in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

Burial will follow at Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 – 5 p.m.
